The Gennish people trace their rumoured origin to the Glittering Darkness; Their history speaks of grand vessels, made of gas and crystal, that transported the original Gennah to Noth. Creatures of swirling vapour and vortexes of energy made deals with the foul Outsider Gods to host a colony on Noth. At the conclusion of the Outsider God War, the Gennah's poor choice of ally in the Outsider Gods cost them their fleet of ships, and their forms. The Litany dispersed their beings into four 'mortal' states of matter; Ferrite, Hydrite, Ion and Xenon. This transformation into beings of flesh and blood reduced the Gennah into sickly, diseased beings, their forms unstable and collapsing after 20 year lifespans.

Now divided in form, the diminished State-Gen fell into infighting for resources in South Enaeth. The people separated; the Hydrite and Ferrite Gennah intermingling with the former slaves of the Outsider Gods, while the Ion and Xenon Gennah prowled the ruins of Outsider Gods, searching for an answer to their withered state.

After 100 years, brother's Mulsuun and Muldahn found in one such ruin First Herald Meuraeave. Already on her descent into madness, the brothers led a cult worshipping her transformation into the Outsider God horror known as the Amalgamate.

With the Amalgamate as their Prime Minister, the Brothers created the Sovereign Nation of the Gennah people. Conquering South Arath, they started a vengeful war against the First Herald societies, while the Amalgamate started some unknown project, deep within Mt. Etekerekct, the tallest peak in Arath and seat of the Empire.

Despite their advanced technology and tactics, they lost; the Amalgamate imprisoned and their armies, along with Muldahn, destroyed. Mulsuun led what remained of his people deep within the Daremynern mountains, and there they hid for hundreds of years in their cities known as the Genasaries.

They re-emerged 800 years later, infrequently trading for technology with the nations of Arath. Their influence increased greatly during and after the Atheist War, being the only nation to survive the events relatively unscathed.

While they lack the numbers to begin a second conquest, raid conducted by specialist forces are frequent in many Arath colonies. Entire independent colonies are wiped out in a matter of hours by vastly technologically superior forces, scavenging for weapons and technology.

Information about the Nation comes from refugees fleeing the fascist state. Less than 5000 Gen still live, worshipping a being called 'The All-Mother', from which all Gennah are now born or 'cloned' from.

Refugee Gennah are despised and avoided in Arath; all baring the same face and manner, some fear that these asylum seekers could be replaced by spies or terrorists.
