Little is known of Ansuro's life as a cub, only that he was a son of a fisherman living in on the Strand, and he was a kleptomaniac. As a child, most thievery started small; favours, toys, and talismans from wayfarers. As he grew, so to did his crimes, eventuating in the theft of an entire ship, as Ansuro sailed south to enhance his prospects.

Scuttling his ship, he left calling cards in all major cities, robbing the rich and exclusive. He had no pattern or tastes, stealing art, technology, and accruing an enormous amounts of favours.

His biggest heist, stealing from a Craftlords 'Vault' in the Ancillary city of Rhyne, led to his ascension, and even greater acts of thievery. For what purpose, Ansuro did not know; only that he had to keep stealing for something. His infamy grew so great it prompted one of the first international collaborations, as all nations began an enormous manhunt to find the mysterious thief.

He was eventually caught in a raid of a known drug den, and due to his appearance, initially crept under the radar. When his identity as the worldclass thief came to be, he was personally contacted by Regina Garaseehn of the newly established TAERA. She promised his freedom in exchange for service; the Violate King was coming to Torrens, and they needed him, greasy Ansuro, to perform the greatest heist of his life, potentially saving millions.
