The earliest information collected on Bartehn comes from reports of criminals in the Flood Channels hung from the arches leading towards the Theovocates Building in Torrens. These first hangings were attributed to gang actions, until one such individual was arrested, dictating a message left by 'The Voidcaller';

'None of you are safe from me; I am the shadows that leers through you, the haunting of your past actions. You have been judged. The darkness deems your life; forfeit. The darkness has deemed me her agent in these matters. I am coming'.

From there, a series of murders and assassinations in Torrens rocked the city; criminal activity dropped to its lowest levels since the Tributionary upheaval, as the Invokers of Torrens hunted for and sometimes encountered the terrfying Voidcaller disappearing into the darkness at the scene of his crimes.

The killings ceased for a time, only for reports of a copycat in Voltaine to arrive in Torrens. These were dismissed, until a Baron submitted himself for questioning, terrified beyond all believe and dictating a similar message; the Voidcaller was in Voltaine.

His activity, once the talk of the major cities, was drowned out by the arrival of the Violate King in Enaeth. Regina Garaseehn, Executor of the newly formed TAERA retired to her apartment one evening to find the Voidcaller, awaiting her there to 'discuss' recent matters.

It is unknown what transpired between the two, only that Regina was able to broker a deal with 'Bartehn' to help destroy the Violate King. How they reached this arrangement is just as unknown as the individual himself, considering all the possibilities on how to single out and kill the Violate King.
