Omarn
Omarn is a human male who grew up in the slave camps of the Violate King. Serving the Violate Bastard Riaydrihn, he would later have a change of heart and helped liberate Hedera.
Omarn is a beefy man with closely cut hair, deep furrowed brows and dark eyes. While he is of average height, but beyond average build.
His sense of morality and connection to others has been warped by his harsh and childhood, which has made him vigilant and detached from the effects of his actions on other people. He has a very intense instinct for survival and self preservation, which has made him jaded and ruthless, with a better-safe-than-sorry attitude and complete lack of hesitation to hurt or kill others, even when it's not strictly necessary.
His experience in the Complex has brought forward his deep understanding of morality; that those with power will abuse the power of others, and he himself is one of those people. Without the guiding arm of someone who is righteous, compassionate and selfless, he knows he will be no better than the people who oppressed him.
Omarn was born in an unnamed village destroyed and subjugated by the Violate King. Too young to be used for labour, his mother, Hnoa, tried to protect him from the worst of the King's slave camps to little success.
To mitigate the hopelessness of their situation, she would tell him stories of Heralds, such as Preacher Eeder, noble Jareth and cheeky Ansuro, virtuous beings who would one day rescue them. Her stories fell hollow in his ears after the camps watched and wailed as the King annihilated Maysuria, with Herald Eeder inside.
Confronted with the reality of the King's domination of all life, Omarn grew up a violent and emotionless man, but maintained his devotion to his mother.
During the final battle of the Violate War, Omarn was separated from Hnoa in the resulting chaos as the Violate King's army disintegrated. He became a wandering vagrant in the Circiern Region, eventually ending up in Palisades. While his time in the camps taught him little survival skills, Omarn eventually became adept at navigating the underbellies of cities and towns. Lacking caution, and swift to resolving his problems with violence, Omarn was exiled or kicked out of most places he ended up in.
Eventually his ability to dispense violence was noticed by one of the Violate King's bastards, Riaydrihn. He became an enforcer for Riaydrihn, and assisted in his takeover of the Complex at Hedera.
Later joining Second Sunrise, Omarn knows without guidance he will continue on his path of violence unabated. More importantly, with powerful allies by his side, Omarn one day hopes he will be reunited with Hnoa. and make sure no child suffers like he did.
When Second Sunrise came to liberate the the Complex, Omarn was beset by a vision of Elimarah. Thinking of his mother, and the dark path he had been on, he was amazed to hear the voice of Herald Eeder, seemingly returned from the dead. As Hnoa once said, Heralds had finally come to liberate the subjugated from dominion. Omarn joined the now rebelling population in overthrowing Riaydrihn's occupation.
He then joined Second Sunrise in their attempted rescue of Elimarah, and retreated with them to Palisades. He later served under Orin during the siege of Palisades, and was given instruction to rally a militia from the criminal underbelly. Siobar and he quickly 'rounded up' the ones who would follow, and killed the ones who threatened them, murdering several high-profile criminals of TAERA in their recruitment.
