Enkier
Enkier was a member of 'The Preacher's Faithful, and helped Second Sunrise in the assault on the Complex and later in their mission to recover Elimarah.
Enkier is a dour-faced thoughtful young man. Generally slow to excitement, or any other emotion, Enkier's down-turned face lights up during religious ceremony, or tinkering on ancient technologies.
He wears patchwork robes made in imitation the Preacher, covered in favours and other religious iconography.
Enkier was born in an unnamed settlement in the Circean region. When this village was destroyed by a Rampant in 2384, his family were forced to settle in the ruins of Hedera, known then as the complex.
Enkier explored much of the complex as a youth, and became fascinated by the ruins of old. He dreamt of becoming an antiquitist explorer, or joining the nomads that sometimes visited to fix the complex. He mentally mapped out the narrow passageways behind the complex walls, and built a hideout, where he experimented tearing down old equipment, and practiced his shot with a recovered crossbow.
His god-fearing parents sent him to the Preacher, to try and instill some wisdom in the boy.
Enkier thus became the first of the Preacher’s ‘Faithful’, finding great wisdom in the old man's guidance, and helping him closely within the complex.
When the Bastard’s arrived to take over the tower, Enkier was infuriated that his home had been invaded by outsiders, and even more so by the inaction of the Preacher. Showing other indignant souls his hideout, he unknowingly started a resistance in the complex, that ended with the arrival of Elimarah and Second Sunrise, and the liberation of Hedera in 2398 4G.c.
Enkier was first spotted by Vaxis as an unknown figure who ran from him and Mhoram behind the walls of the complex.
He encountered Vaxis again further up the complex, and realizing their goals were aligned, help Vaxis reach the top of the Complex. He distracted the Faras while Vaxis ended the lockdown, and later guided him to meet the Preacher.
He then joined the Preacher, his Faithful and Second Sunrise in their assault on the Fallen Litany. He recovered an ancient weapon, the Capsule Catalyst, and used it against Second Revelation in their retreat to Palisades.
During the siege of Palisades, he assisted Vaxis in the repair and use of the LRCC, killing a siege scapebeast before it could assault the walls.
