At the height of Script Obsoli, the Tributionary Body gave heavy consideration to the replacement of message voltaionics and even messenger birds. Young men and women were recruited to perform message delivery services for important economical updates to the different cities. This idea eventually reached the general population, and unofficial messengers began moving city to city, building to building, sometimes trading a message for a meal or a place to sleep for the night.

Over time this developed into the only completely politically independent movement in Enaeth; The Misiv Service. Unregulated by the government, Misiv's would register with their local 'Bank' and seek out or await visitors to submit messages. Misiv's practiced regular recall to enhance their memorization of information, tone and delivery style of messages.

Misivs are relied upon for their discretion and honourable safeguard of message or package contents. Misiv's would never pry into the why of a message, only the verification of payment. Misiv's carry 'sign-blocks' which would require a stamped seal, indicating message received, and allowing the transfer of funds at the Misiv Banks.

Misiv's could and would do private bartering however, especially when acting outside of the purview of the law. Many a Misiv will be approached by thieves and bandits, who generously pay for discreet delivery of contraband or secret messages. Their services extend to anyone with coin and goods to deliver; sanctioned or unsanctioned.
