HERALDS CAMPAIGN
NOIL The Permutation
Ehnoaiel is the Cyclonic God of Change, Disasters and Gravity.
NOIL - 'Harness Song of Impending Revision' in Daeogram, also commonly known as 'Noyahl' is the harbinger of global disaster, both natural and unnatural, of renewal and of the earth.
On the Trinium's travel to Noth from their point of non-existence, NOIL created the concept of weight for the Glittering Darkness, allowing for the condensation and attraction of particles to form mass, creating the twisting dance of celestial bodies in the sky, allowing planets to form, and the first simple forms of life to evolve into the Noth they would arrive and liberate from the Outsider Gods.
Pulled along by the weight of their vessel, the Rubicon Overlay, NOIL flung masses of metal and mineral at Noth, destroying vast amounts of Outsider God Infrastructure, and gifting the people with material from the time of gravity's ancestor; While Filament, a material of immense strength and weightlessness.
With all gifts, there is forfeiture. In the dance of the celestial bodies created to give life to Noth, another mass hurtled naively towards the planet, harbinging the demise of its people. Its crash into the planet created 'The Godtide'; a twenty metre tall wave threatening all of Noth. While First Herald Gilgahn was successful in stopping its transgression into ancestral Enaeth, he could not stop the change it brought as Enaeth experienced earthquakes, floods and violent change to the earth.
Wandering the devestation, Gilgahn stubbornly set to rebuilding what was lost; he watched as the flooding created new fertile soil where there was none; shifted mountains revealed new minerals to harvest and smith; the people themselves transformed, learning to appreciate geography in settling their new homes.
So they learnt the lesson of NOIL; Existence modulates, and all destruction fortells rejuvination; yet stagnation fortells destruction.
Worship of NOIL has increased since the end of the Violate War and beginning of the Fourth Gift Cycle, as the change in topography left by the Violate King has both cursed and blessed the world, destroying what was once familiar, but exposing new and unseen instruments in the recreation of the old world. NOIL is worshiped heavily by the Surveyor's Guild, in their continued inspection and unveiling of secrets long hidden beneath the earth.
