As part of TAERA's recycle into an international economic alliance, many individuals saw this as a chance to make money or gain influence in the new free market political landscape. Seeing the need to renew trade between city-states as the highest priority, Craftlord Bacio Duranh approached TAERA with both the seed funding and plan to reconnect the now isolated city-states with newly constructed roads.

This project encouraged local populations, either those wanting to start towns or populate existing ones, to work in building sections of the road, which used recycled materials from terrain and other features through a new shaping technique discovered by the Modular Association.

With additional funding accrued, test sections of road began outside Torrens in 2377 to Barrowstead. Many problems were encountered; surveyors were often attacked by bandits or local wildlife and projects were stalled because of unrest within the camps.

To mitigate this, the Surveyor Scouts were created. Mostly made up of veterans of the Violate War, Scouts were at the forefront of the projects; scouting out terrain, threats, and acting as security for the road camps. This was later enhanced by the addition of the Surveyor Hunter Seekers, dedicated soldiers trained to tactically raid bandit encampments that blocked progression of the road or threatened the existence of the road camps.

The conditions of these road camps improved as cross-organisational collaboration increased; the Merse providing 'social' services and portable hospitals to the camps, while the Modulars refurbished cycle old machines to increase the workflow of laying down new road.

Work has slowed in light of increasing bandit threats however, as many projections indicate both major projects, the Tor'yne road and the Vol'rens road, will be finished in 2405, 5 years after their expected completion date.

In addition to the management of the Road Project, the Surveyor's Guild is responsible for all cartography and map making of Enaeth, and many agricultural projects to help kickstart new frontier towns.
