Siobar of the Botash
Siobar is a female orc, former mercenary and later member of the Surveyor's Guild Hunter-Seekers, serving under Teleres Argentehn.
Siobar is a tall, broad orcish woman, with pale blue skin and curled goat like horns protruding from underneath braids of black hair. Her back and thighs bare fine dark blue fur, accentuating her bestial nature. Siobar typically speaks very little, finding inane conversation a waste of time.
When she does deign to talk, it is in a deep, almost masculine rumble, betraying little of her own thoughts or opinions. The most preferred company Siobar like to keep is with corpses; the only conversation the information she gathers from how they died, and how to add to the chain of dead bodies in her hunt for a battle she cannot win.
Born of the Botash Caravans, a nomadic orc tribe, Siobar's early life was peacefully spent learning to live off of the frontier in the Circiern Region, hunting, foraging, and harvesting metals from the earth, to sell to passing caravans or the Pennant Archae.
This all changed when the Violate War began. Sensing opportunity in disaster, Botash's shapers and smiths began crafting weapons, initially to sell to Rhyne, but then to anyone willing to pay for a good sword or spear. Soon the Botash evolved into their own mercenary caravan, Siobar and her siblings its guards, and eventually warriors for hire.
Indoctrinated by Botash's leadership, Siobar stopped questioning why she had to kill, only to know how much to ask for in payment to keep the fires going. Siobar and her siblings became infamous for sacking many frontier towns ahead of the Violate King, selling slaves and materials to the King to fuel their now massive transport furnaces.
When the Violate King was finally defeated outside Palisades, Botash traveled south to the Planae to hide, and wait for the next war to fuel. Unfortunately for them, the next war was the first major Amansir operation, resulting in Botash's destruction in 2380 4G.c. Its leadership executed, Siobar and her surviving siblings were given three options; jail, work or death. Siobar was the only one of her siblings to choose work.
Siobar worked tirelessly in a quarry for a number of years, harvesting the raw materials needed to build new roads. When she tracked down and killed a fellow prisoner who had injured the warden and escaped, Siobar's ability to hunt and track was decided to be put to use. She was given parole and assigned to Teleres of the newly formed Surveyor Hunter-Seekers. Unafraid of any challenge, Siobar relishes the opportunity freedom offers; to finally find an opponent who could finally best her in combat and claim her life.
Known for her willingness to hunt and kill anyone or anything, Siobar has earnt a reputation within the Surveyors as 'The Venator'.
Siobar was first encountered by Second Sunrise at the Tor'yne Road Project as a member of Teleres' infiltration team of Hunter Seekers. This group joined with Second Sunrise in a takedown of two Violate Bastards occupying a nearby Complex.
Of their unit of six, her and Teleres were the only survivors, Siobar losing a hand to in a fight with the Red Asva.
Watching Vaxis build a rudimentary prosthesis for Orin, Siobar requested her severed axehead be affixed to her arm. She then joined Second Sunrise in overthrowing the Bastards and ending the lockdown on the Complex.
She then quit the Surveyors alongside Teleres, and joined Second Sunrise in their quest to rescue Elimarah from the Fallen Litany. While Second Sunrise plunged further into the Fallen Litany, their group stumbled upon a guard force at the main entrance. There Siobar and the Preacher killed a Biocurate, and the Faithful secured the entrance.
When the party returned from the Fallen Litany unsuccessful, she did not join the prayer circle to resurrect Elimarah and Grippsly. In a pragmatic act of benevolence, Siobar hefted Elimarah's body, and carried it the entire three day retreat from Second Revelation to Palisades.
During the Siege of Palisades, she assisted Omarn in his mission to 'press' the criminal underbelly into a militia force for Orin, killing or maiming those that refused. She then helped Aingrim prepare a defensive barricade, tearing down buildings alongside Teleres in improving the defences.
