HERALDS CAMPAIGN
Scilo Duhn
Scilo Duhn is a Herald of ETZX, renowned theological philosopher on the relationship of man and the gods, and an amateur Antiquitist. He disappeared on an antiquitist expedition, and has not been seen since 2395 4G.c.
Scilo is an older human, with grey hair and a long beard, often seen in an adorned robe of a Tariat Index, but was otherwise unremarkable in appearance. He was most recognizable by his voice; a sonorous, musical way of speaking that demanded attention.
Scilo has always been known to be 'eclectic', even before becoming a herald, talking of all topics in a manner of rich understanding, and the use of language to befuddle and inspire others into contemplation.
While Scilo is greatly known and discussed in philosophical and theological circles, very little is known about his origins or his childhood. Like many young people, Scilo applied to become a Tariat, and served with diligence. It was during this time, working in the great data banks below Torrens, that Scilo first truly pondered conscious thought, and where it came from; was it informed from evolution, or was it divine interference?
Once his time as an Archive was completed, Scilo requested he join the upper echelons of the Classifications, eventually becoming an Index for the Tariats. It was here that he transformed some of the outdated modules of Tariat training, and finding disappointment in his posting, left the Classifications to teach, publicly and privately, 'Tariat mindfulness'. These lessons became highly popular among the elite. In his travels, Scilo tutored for a number of Barony families, including the Benethiehns and the Deios.
He would often present his teachings alongside his philosophical studies in grand orations that would take hours. After a number of years of philosophical study and consideration, he orated his greatest work; 'The Augurmeral Mind'; He believed that for pre-aware consciousness to manifest in so many species in such similar timeframe, had to be as a result of the Trinium's arrival over Noth. He believed that as the gods communicated to the people, they enabled the people to 'speak' for themselves. as well
It was during this oration, to a crowd of thousands, that Scilo ascended, and through the confusing array of thought and memory, Scilo felt he could comprehend the purpose to all of existence. He was disappointed to find his moment of revelation had abandoned him when he returned to mundane existence.
Scilo became even more of a celebrity as herald. Despite his immense popularity, he ended his tutoring and his public lessons. He pivoted, to the confusion of all, to Antiquitism. Joining a number of expeditions, Scilo hungered for that moment of epiphany, the revelation that came at the end of the path of discovery. His only form of communication became Misivs sent to Regina Garaseehn and Bartolo Dion, claiming of some great discovery on the horizon that would change civilization forever.
Slowly, these Misivs became less frequent, until they stopped arriving all together. Many fear the worst has come to pass for the eclectic Herald.
